My recent 10-day adventure on the breathtaking island of Madeira was made all the more exhilarating thanks to a fantastic scooter rental experience. Having booked in advance, complete with two helmets, I was initially apprehensive about whether a scooter would truly be up to the challenge of Madeira's famously steep inclines, some reaching a daunting 25%. However, my worries were quickly dispelled. This plucky machine tackled every winding, uphill road with surprising power, proving more than capable of navigating the island's dramatic topography.

Over the course of our "short" stay, we clocked over 800 kilometers, testament to the freedom and flexibility the scooter afforded us. From the vibrant capital of Funchal to the remote, rugged corners of the island, we explored countless "must-see" attractions. While Madeira undeniably offers a seemingly endless array of sights – so much so that we undoubtedly scratched only the surface – the scooter allowed us to maximize our time and cover significant ground efficiently.

What a brilliant company to hire a scooter from. We hired a scooter for 5 days and what an easy process it was! For people that are worried about driving a scooter in Madeira, don’t be!! What a fantastic holiday we had exploring the island by scooter. The scooter was delivered right to our accommodation and picked up as well! No hassle, no extra fees and completely reliable! The owner of the company was so friendly, kind, helpful and easy to contact on WhatsApp! The priciest are one of the lowest on the island and the helmets and phone holder being included in the price made it so easy for us to choose Mx Scooters. If we return to Madeira we would definitely rent a scooter from MX Scooters again & recommend to anyone thinking about renting!

Horrible service, rented a scooter and we could still choose how many days we wanted to rent it, because we didn’t know yet. Then a day later the renter forced us to either rent for a week or give back the scooter within a day. After a lot of argueing with the guy we decided to give the scooter back a day later. When he came to pick it up there was a woman sitting in the pick up car and she was aggressively holding up her middle finger to me and cursing us out. It was the most horrible experience i’ve had with renting anything ever. Do not rent here.
